Our Story
30 years of growth on one integrated site
Thaloplast was founded in 1994 as Thang Long Plastics. Starting from industrial plastics, our work now also covers pharmaceutical packaging, apparel accessories and plastic scrap recycling.
Today all of this runs on one 17,000 m² site at Tien Son Industrial Park, Bac Ninh, serving customers in retail, beverages, pharma and industry.

Founded
Thang Long Plastics JSC is established, starting with the manufacture and trade of industrial plastic products.
- 2012
Strategic partner of Mainetti
A long-term partnership with Mainetti begins. Today we supply around 120 million garment hangers to Mainetti every year.
- 2018
First direct exports to Europe
Recycled compound shipped directly to PPE Plastic Pool Europe (Belgium) and Thees Plastic Recycling (Germany).
- 2019
SMETA (Sedex) audit
Audited to the SMETA ethical trade and social compliance standard, maintained to annual requirements.
- 2022
GRS certification
Recycled compounds certified to the Global Recycled Standard, in line with European market standards.
- 2026
Today
A 17,000 m² factory and warehouse, 150 employees and 31 production machines supported by robotics and automation.
Why two production cores
Recycling and pharmaceutical packaging pull in opposite directions: one processes scrap, the other must use virgin resin only in a contamination-controlled environment. So we split them into two cores.
- Core 1: garment hangers and recycled compounds
- Core 2: pharma, beverage and chemical packaging
Each core has its own building, raw-material store, lines and staff, under one management system.
Growing with Mainetti
Thaloplast and Mainetti leadership teams are united by a shared vision and long-term strategy. Since 2012 we have worked closely to keep raising operational standards, achieving SMETA in 2019 and GRS in 2022.
Thaloplast now supplies around 120 million hangers to Mainetti each year, and has supplied more than 30,000 tonnes of recycled compound over 15 years.
